The Xonar sound card family from Asus, today gets a new member – the Xonar DG, featuring Dolby Headphone 5.1 high definition surround with ASUS’ own GX 2.5 gaming audio engine and an on-board headset amplifier for “immersive, precise audio reproduction in games and movies.”
The Xonar DG uses PCI interface, has a low profile design which make it suitable for compact home theater PC configurations, feature 3 headphone Amp gain modes for different usage scenarios – VOIP, Pro-gaming mode, Exciter mode and includes Dolby Headphone technology, which allows listen to music, watch movies, or play games in 5.1-channel surround or realistic 3D spacious effects through any set of stereo headphones.
