Blizzard Entertainment is very pleased to announce, that after years of development and beta testing, StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty is finally available for purchase in Europe, North America, South Korea, Australia, New Zealand, Brazil, Chile, Russia, Argentina, Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, the Philippines, and the regions of Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macau. Blizzard Entertainment also hosted launch parties in twelve cities around the world, in order to celebrate the release of the game.

The single player campaign of StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty, continues the storyline, excactly where StarCraft: Brood War left off. The game is available on a DVD and is compatible with Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7 and Macintosh. The standard edition of StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty is available for purchase at the price of $59.99, where the collector’s edition is available for purchase at the price of $99.99 and includes the following features:
