The Japanese display manufacturer NEC has announced the new AccuSync AS203WMi monitor, designed for corporate users. The new monitor targets people who work in small or medium-sized companies, schools, libraries and other similar places and offers Energy Star 6.0, TCO 6.0 and EPEAT Silver certifications.
The 20-inch NEC AccuSync AS203WMi monitor measures 466 x 335 x 205 mm and weighs 3.4 kilograms. It has IPS technology inside and offers 1600 x 900 pixels of resolution within a 16:9 aspect ratio. It also has 14 ms of response time, 250 cd/m2 of brightness, a static contrast ratio of 1000:1, support for 16.7 million colors, 178-degree viewing angles and a maximum refresh rate of 75 Hz. The monitor makes use of the innovative ECO Mode energy saving feature that turns the monitor off when not in use and levels energy consumption. Speaking of this the NEC AccuSync AS203WMi needs just 14 watts of power when working and just 0.35W of power when in sleep mode. The monitor includes D-Sub/VGA and DVI-D ports as well as two 2W built-in speakers but does not allow users to adjust its height; instead users can only change the angle of the display. There’s also a 100 x 100 mm VESA stand.
The new NEC AccuSync AS203WMi will be on the market by the end of April and will sell for USD 169. The monitor comes with a 3-year warranty.
