Philips has introduced a new 23-inch monitor that belongs to the Blade 2 series and features an IPS display.
The IPS display is one of the main selling points of this novelty with thickness being the second. The new Philips Blade 2 monitor is just 12.5 mm thick.
Available in black and white colors the new Philips product also has a LED backlight. The 23-inch screen supports a 1920×1080 pixel resolution, contrast of 1000:1 (with SmartContrast offering 20 000 000:1), 250 cd/m2 brightness, response time of 7 ms and viewing angles of 178 degrees.
The new Philips Blade 2 monitor uses two HDMI ports and a VGA port for connection to other devices. According to Philips the monitor will sell for around 290 USD.
