Acer America today announced the launch of its high-end multimedia notebook , the 18.4-inch Acer Aspire AS8943G. The laptop has a completely new modern and bold industrial design and packed with latest Intel’s platform
The new Aspire notebook sports an aluminium cover with glossy and matte finishes and silver and black accents, new chiclet style keyboard (keys with straight edges vs. slanted sides) which extends to a dedicated numeric keypad, a new dual-mode touchpad with integrated, capacitive touch media controller icons allows you to switch between multi-gesture mode to media console mode.
The 18.4-inch edge-to-edge glass CineCrystal LED back-lit display has Full HD definition (1920 x 1080) and together with Dolby optimized Acer CineSurround sound system with five built-in speakers and a dedicated subwoofer make it a perfect multimedia powerhouse. Under the hood it is powered by Intel Core i7 quad-core processor, has a DirectX 11 capable ATI Mobility Radeon HD5850 Graphics with 1GB of dedicated video memory, up to 16GB RAM memory, 500GB SATA hard drive, Gigabit Ethernet, 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, there is also a 1.3 megapixel HD webcam, fingerprint reader and plenty of connectivity ports icluding FireWire and HDMI.
