Dell has been the latest company to unveil a new range of Windows 8-ready PCs that will take Dell’s customers into the new Windows 8 computing realm. The US company has announced the Dell XPS 12 convertible laptop, the Dell XPS One 27 AIO and the Dell Inspiron One 23 AIO. Finally here we have an updated version to the XPS 13 laptop too.
“Dell and Microsoft have strived to make technology more accessible and intuitive for more than two decades, and the introduction of new Dell PCs and Windows 8 software is another important milestone in this journey,” said Sam Burd, vice president of the PC product group at Dell.
The XPS line is the leader among the new products. The XPS One 27 all-in-one PC has been designed to save space and comes with a huge 27-inch Wide Quad HD display, which offers 78 per cent more pixels than a Full HD display. There’s also a version of the same PC with a capacitive touchscreen.
The XPS 12 laptop is a fully featured PC that can transform into a touch-powered tablet. The unique flip hinge touchscreen display is elegant and innovative and easily transitions between laptop and tablet mode with a simple flip. When in tablet mode, the display completely covers the keyboard, protecting it from dirt and spills. The vibrant Full HD display provides 90 percent more pixels than a standard HD display for an exceptionally crisp reading and viewing experience.
The Inspiron One 23 All-in-One PC, with its impressive performance and a bright Full HD display in a space-saving, sleek design, is now available with a touchscreen option for entertainment, education and fun for the whole family.
Dell is also updating its popular systems in time for the holidays. The award-winning XPS 13 has been updated with a new specification, including the Ivy Bridge chipset. As a result, the new XPS 13 is up to two times faster than the previous generation XPS 13.
The new Dell PCs will become available on October 26 but you can pre-order yours now. The XPS 12 convertible starts at 1199 USD, the XPS One 27 with touch at 1599 USD, the Inspiron One 23 AIO with touch at 779 USD and finally the XPS 13 starts at 999 USD and up.
