The Taiwanese hardware maker MSI has expanded the just launched Prestige Series notebook line with two new models with shorter names compared to the first two models. The newcomers are called PE60 2QD and PE60 2QE and share most of their tech specs.
The new notebooks offer chassis that are colored in black and silver (27 mm thickness) and offer Intel Core i7-4720HQ processors at 2.6 GHz (3.6 GHz Turbo), Intel HD 4600 graphics and Intel HM87 chipsets. The MSI PE60 2QD and PE60 2QE are built around 15.6-inch displays at Full HD resolution but there are optional 4K displays (3840 x 2160 pixels) as well. In addition no matter the display resolution the screens cover all the sRGB color space.
The PE60 2QD and PE60 2QE notebooks offer up to 16 GB of DDR3L SDRAM, GeForce GTX 950M or GTX 960M graphics, up to 1 TB of hard drive space, an M.2 SSD (up to 256 GB), 5-channel Dynaudio sound with four speakers and one subwoofer, Gigabit Ethernet, 802.11ac Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0 and other peripherals.
The new MSI notebooks will not differ much in pricing from the other two Prestige Series models – they will start at around USD 1200.
