MSI extends its F Series notebooks with four new additions powered by Intel’s 2nd generation Core i5 Sandy Bridge CPU- the 15.6-inch FX620, FR620 and 17.3-inch FX720, and FR720.
The new laptops features raised totem seal coating and color film print to prevent scratching and wear, and a soft raised checkered coating on the wrist rest areas. They have luminescent blue lights above the keyboard, platinum trim around the speakers and are equipped with Chiclet keyboard, raised multipoint touchpad, and brush finish of the hotkey zone. The notebooks are packed with MSI’s Turbo Battery+ power-saving technology, THX TruStudio Pro smart wrap around sound, i-Charge which pumps more power through the USB slots, S-Bar and Cinema Pro image technology. The FX620 and FX720 models include nVidia GeForce GT520M discrete graphics card with 1GB of display memory backed by MSI’s GPU Boost technology which automatically switch between discrete graphics card and integrated graphics chip for optima balance betweenperformance and battery power, while the FR620 and FR720 come with Intel’s built-in HD 3000 graphics card.
The 15.6-inch FX620 and FR620 have LED backlight displays with 1366×768 resolution and also are equipped with DDR3 memory, 250/320/500GB storage options,Gigabit LAN, 802.11 b/g/n WLAN, Bluetooth v2.1 + EDR, 2x USB 3.0, 1x USB 2.0, 4-in-1 card reader, VGA, HDMI out, 4ch speakers, DVD/Blu-ray combo drive and HD 720p webcams. The laptops have dimensions of 383 x 249.3 x 38mm, weight 2.3kg and come with 6-Cell Li-Ion battery.
The 17.3-inch FX720 and FR720 have pretty same hardware specs, but their LED backlight displays have 1600×900 resolution and measure 418 x 269.3 x 39mm and weighting 2.8kg. The new machines ale comes with a pack of MSI exclusive applications, such as Easy Face facial recognition software which helps you to protect your data biometrically, Easy Viewer photo manager and S-Bar toolbar for controling all system functions.
