The German PSU maker Be quiet! has released its Dark Power Pro 11 power supply line with three models with power output of 850W, 1000W and 1200W.
Just like with other Be quiet! PSU models the newcomers offer an efficiency level of up to 94 per cent and thus they carry the 80 Plus Platinum certificate. This is so because the Dark Power Pro 11 line includes an improved “Full Bridge + LLC + SR + DC/DC” topology. The PSUs that belong to the line include two parallel main transformers, resulting in lower heat emission and higher efficiency and come with a lower design that occupies less room and improves the heat dissipation inside a PC case. Moreover the PSUs feature increased capacitor capacity from 2200 to 3200 microfarads on the 12V rails, 39 solid caps and a new PFC capacitor as well as a built-in SilentWing 3 fan with a diameter of 135 mm. The fan offers a durable fluid dynamic bearing and a modern six-pole motor with IC control for guaranteed smooth operation and runs initially at 250 RPM. In addition, a large, funnel-shaped vent improves air intake and stabilizes airflow in the power supply. All Be quiet! Dark Power Pro 11 power supply units use high-quality Japanese capacitors with a 105-degree Celsius certification for maximum reliability and four ports for external fans that are driven by an additional temperature sensor and a dedicated circuit. Moreover, every Dark Power Pro 11 model can be used in single or multi-rail mode by using the Overclocking Key.
The new Dark Power Pro 11 PSUs are available now for USD 199/GBP 161/EUR 225 for the 850W model, USD 239/GBP 186/EUR 259 for the 1000W model and USD 279/GBP 207/EUR 289 for the 1200W model. All models also come with a 5-year warranty and free 48-hour on-site replacement during the first 12 months. Lower wattage models will be launched in August of this year.
