The rumored Tahiti LE GPU by AMD has seen the light of day in a Club 3D graphics card – the Radeon HD 7870 jokerCard Limited Edition.
The new Club 3D video card is based on a 28 nm Tahiti LE video chip that operates at 925 MHz nominal clock speed and at 975 MHz Turbo clock speed with the VRAM memory running at full 6000 MHz. The GPU itself has 1536 stream processors, support for PCI-E 3.0 and 2 GB of GDDR5 VRAM memory accessed over a 256-bit bus, while the card offers Dual Link DVI-I, HDMI 1.4a and two Mini DisplayPort 1.2 outputs. All this is cooled by the company’s CoolStream 92 mm cooling system that comes with an aluminum heatsink with copper heatpipes.
The graphics card also fully supports DirectX 11.1 and features an integrated Unified Video Decoder video processor with support for H.264/AVCHD, VC-1/WMV profile D, MPEG-2, Multi-View Codec (MVC), MPEG-4/DivX, Video Codec Engine, Eyefinity 2.0, Steady Video 2.0, ZeroCore Power and others.
