Thermalright has added one more CPU cooler to its Macho line. This time the cooler is called Macho Direct and is called that way because the new cooler is the first in the Macho line to have direct contact with the chip underneath.
The cooler measures 140 x 117 x 158 mm (L x W x H) and weighs 650 grams. The Macho Direct comes with five copper heat pipes and a large aluminum heat sink that gets cooled by a large 140 mm TY-140 cooling fan that spins at 300-1300 rpm. The fan can push between 16.9 – 73.6 cubic feet of air per minute at noise levels between 15-21 dB, which is impressive.
The Macho Direct now sells for around EUR 36.99. The cooler has support for all current AMD and Intel processors and for this money you also get a Thermalright screw inside the package.
