Thermaltake has announced a new power supply unit (PSU) line called Toughpower DPS G RGB Gold Series. The idea behind this new PSU line is to offer reliable power supplies for virtual reality applications and that’s why Thermaltake is here again. The new PSU line features three models at the moment with power output of 650W, 750W and 850W and all of them are 80 Plus Gold certified as the name of the entire PSU line suggests.
The three new PSUs arrive with an ultra-quiet 140 mm cooling fan under the hood as well as 100 per cent high quality Japanese capacitors. But there’s more – those of you, who purchase one of the three PSUs will also enjoy a digital control board, a 32-bit microcontroller unit by Microchip Technology and special software by Thermaltake that will show you the current status of the PSU – its temperature, load level and more. The Toughpower DPS G RGB Gold Series also supports the so-called PC Off Remote Control function, which aims to minimize any potential damages caused by PSU failures. The system will automatically send users a warning alert when it detects any abnormal situations from the PSU. Hence, users can immediately turn off, schedule a shutdown or even reboot their PC through their mobile devices anywhere. Of course, with these PSUs you also get RGB lighting for the cooling fan as well as the expected PSU protection against overvoltage, undervoltage, short circuits, etc.
The new Thermaltake PSU line is now available in the USA, the UK and Germany. There’s no information how much these models cost.
