British consumer electronics maker Disgo has announced the Tablet 9000 – a 9.7-inch tablet that offers very decent hardware for just GBP 150 – and if this does not make sense to you GBP 150 is half of what you pay for the cheapest iPad out there.
The Tablet 9000 runs Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich and comes with a 9.7-inch TN capacitive display at 1024 x 768 pixel resolution, 1 GHz Boxchip Cortex A8 ARM processor, 1 GB of DDR3 RAM, 8 GB of on-board storage, one 2 MP rear camera and one 0.3 MP front camera.
The device also includes access to over 1000 Android apps and offers stereo speakers, 3.5 mm headphone out and a built-in microphone.
