Google’s Nexus line of portable devices has been rather popular lately but earlier this year various rumors suggested an early demise for the popular brand. Now Google officials have said that the brand will keep on living and that there will be more and more Google devices carrying the Nexus brand name.
The proof is that Google will launch a new Nexus smartphone this fall that will carry a new Android version called Android L. There’s no information whatsoever on the smartphone or its specs but Google said the new smartphone will be officially unveiled at the same time the final version of Android L gets released for all Google Play Edition and Nexus devices.
In the meantime online sources point out that the next version of Android, most likely the aforementioned Android L, will be called Android Lollipop. There are no other details in regards to the upcoming new mobile OS but there will surely be more news when the Google I/O event takes place.
