Microsoft’s Surface line of tablets has hardly been that successful but the US software giant will give it a shot once more with new tablets that are known as Surface Pro 3.
According to the first information on the topic, shared by the company, the Surface Pro 3 will be available in three models with Core i3, Core i5 and Core i7 processors. The cheapest version will have 4 GB of RAM, 64 GB of internal memory and a dual-core Intel Core i3-4020Y processor that runs at 1.5 GHz and has 3 MB of L3 cache and Intel HD4200 graphics.
The mid-ranged model has two versions – one with 4 GB of RAM and 128 GB SSD or another one with 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB SSD. Both models have a quad-core Intel Core i5-4300U processor at 1.9 GHz (2.9 GHz in Turbo Mode, 3 MB of L3 cache) and Intel HD 4400 graphics.
The fastest version has 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB/512 GB SSD depending on the model. The chip that powers it is an Intel Core i7-4650U at 1.7 GHz (3 MB L3 cache, Turbo Mode at 3.3 GHz). As to displays the devices offer different displays – the Core i3 model offers you Full HD resolution (1920 x 1080 pixels), while the other two models can go as high as 2880 x 1800 pixels.
There are no details on the pricing except that the fastest model sells for nearly USD 2000 in the United States.
