The world of smartphones will soon see a new member that will come out of the Taiwanese Acer. The new smartphone will be known as Liquid S1 and will feature a very large 5.7-inch display at 1280 x 720 pixels (257 ppi).
The Acer Liquid S1 will be based on a quad-core MediaTek MT6569T SoC at 1.5 GHz and will come with PowerVR SGX 544 graphics. The smartphone is a bit skimpy on storage and memory – it comes with 1 GB of RAM, 8 GB of internal memory, a microSD card slot, a rear 8 MP camera and a front 2 MP camera, 802.11n Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.0. In addition the device will offer support for two SIM cards and a GPS receiver.
The release date of the Liquid S1 is unknown but the price is not – the smartphone will sell for around EUR 350.
