ASUS has released the second version of its ZenFone phablet on the market and if we tell you that the device is called ZenFone 2 you should not be that surprised. The device measures 152.5 x 77.2 x 10.9 mm, weighs 170 grams and offers five colors – gray, gold, red, white and black. Let’s take a look at the hardware inside.
The new ZenFone 2 is based on an Intel Atom Z3580 processor with four cores at 2.3 GHz and offers integrated PowerVR G6430 graphics, a large 5.5-inch sensor IPS display at Full HD resolution (1920 x 1080 pixels), Gorilla Glass 3 protection for the display, 2 GB of LPDDR2 RAM, 16 GB or 64 GB of internal memory, a microSDXC card slot for expansion (up to 64 GB), one rear 13 MP camera with f/2.0 aperture, LED Real Tone flash and a front 5 MP camera. Both cameras support the ASUS PixelMaster technology. The specs list continues with 802.11ac Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, NFC, LTE, a GPS/GLONASS receiver, an accelerometer, various sensors and a 3000 mAh battery. The ZenFone 2 runs Android 5.0 Lollipop along with the ASUS Zen user interface.
The 16 GB version of the ZenFone 2 will be yours for USD 199, while the 64 GB model costs more – prepare USD 299 for it.
