HTC has launched one more new smartphone and this is the Desire 828 model. The new handset further enhances HTC’s large Desire lineup but is currently only available in India.
The device is unusual with the fact that this is the first phone in the Desire series to come with optical image stabilization – a feature that until this moment was reserved for high-end devices. This new feature is located in the rear camera which offers 13 MP of sensitivity, while there’s a front one too that sports UltraPixel technology.
The new HTC Desire 828 is built around a 5.5-inch display that works at Full HD resolution and packs a 64-bit MediaTek MT6753 octa-core processor at 1.5 GHz. The smartphone also has 2 GB of RAM, 16 GB of internal memory that can be expanded via a built-in SD card slot, two slots for SIM cards, stereo BoomSound speakers up front, support for 4G LTE and a 2800 mAh battery. Unfortunately for some users the Desire 828 comes with Android 5.1 Lollipop but the device will likely get an upgrade to Android 6.0 Marshmallow in the near future.
The new HTC handset is available in Pearl White and Dark Grey and sells for around USD 300 in India.
