As expected before, on October 8 HTC launched the rumored Desire EYE smartphone, designed for people who like to take selfies.
The new smartphone does not bring a lot of surprises because its specs were leaked just a few days ago. It offers a large 5.2-inch sensor display at Full HD resolution, a quad-core Snapdragon 801 processor, 2 GB of RAM, 16 GB of internal memory and a microSD card slot for cards with capacities of up to 128 GB. The device also has LTE, 802.11ac Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, NFC and a 2400 mAh battery. It measures 151.1 x 73.8 x 8.5 mm and has two microphones too.
The main feature of the new Desire EYE is the ability to take almost perfect pictures and selfies thanks to two integrated 13 MP cameras that have the same specs. One of the cameras is rear and the other one is up front – both of them can shoot Full HD videos and have dual LED flash. The HTC Eye Experience software allows you to combine pictures and perform other tasks too.
The HTC Desire EYE will be on the market in the USA, Asia, Europe, the Middle East and Africa this month but the price of the device is unknown as of now.
