Huawei has announced the new G9 Plus smartphone, which targets people in need of a nice mid-range handset.
The device comes with a 5.5-inch display at Full HD resolution and according to Huawei the display of the G9 Plus covers 77.9 per cent of the front panel, which is an improvement compared to the earlier G7 and G7 Plus smartphones. The handset is based on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor and sports 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal memory. In addition to this the G9 Plus offers a microSD memory card slot, which allows users to expand the internal memory with a card with up to 128 GB of capacity. There are two cameras too – the rear one is a 16 MP unit that supports 4K video recording and has optical stabilization, while the front one has 8 MP of sensitivity. The device also has a fingerprint reader, a USB Type-C port and a 3340 mAh battery. The handset measures 151.8 x 75.7 x 7.3 mm and weighs 160 grams.
The G9 Plus is now available for USD 359. The handset will likely appear in Europe under a different name, though – expect the GX9 model there soon.
