The popular mobile phone maker Nokia has presented a new Lumia smartphone – the Lumia 636 – that will first serve the Chinese market.
The new company product is an improved version of the budget-oriented Lumia 630 smartphone and comes with a 4.5-inch sensor IPS ClearBlack display that works at FWVGA resolution (854 x 480 pixels) and makes use of Gorilla Glass 3 protection.
The rest of the specs are rather decent too – the Lumia 636 offers a Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor with four Cortex-A7 cores that run at 1.2 GHz, 1 GB of RAM, 8 GB of internal memory, a microSD card slot (up to 128 GB) and a rear 5 MP camera. In addition to that you also get support for LTE, Bluetooth 4.0, NFC, 802.11n Wi-Fi, a FM radio, audio jacks, support for two SIM cards, a1830 mAh battery and Windows Phone 8.1.
By using the Lumia 636 users will be able to enjoy services from Microsoft that include the Cortana personal assistant, pre-installed MS Office and Outlook software and 7 GB of free SkyDrive cloud storage.
The Lumia 636 will be available in China first where it will sell for USD 190.
