Sometimes smartphone makers update their smartphones while they are still on the market if people require it – as you know customers are everything in our market-oriented world. This is exactly what has just happened to Oppo’s R7 Plus smartphone, which was launched back in May of this year – the device has gotten an upgrade!
The original R7 Plus packs 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal memory, while the updated version will now offer 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal memory. Apart from these two changes, all the remaining tech specs stay the same so expect to enjoy a 6-inch AMOLED display with Gorilla Glass 3 protection at Full HD resolution, a Snapdragon 615 processor with eight cores at 1.5 GHz and Adreno 405 graphics, a microSD slot for storage memory expansion, a 13 MP rear camera with dual LED flash, laser auto focus, Sony IMX214 sensor and f/2.2 aperture, an 8 MP front camera with f/2.4 aperture, a fingerprint sensor, 4G LTE, 802.11ac Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, USB OTG, a 4100 mAh battery and finally Color OS 2.1 based on Android 5.1 Lollipop.
The upgraded model will be available in China at first but it will be a bit more expensive than the original one – the new R7 Plus will sell for around USD 470 for the China Unicom variant and USD 480 for the international version.
